UPDATE: Hotelier Killed By Kidnappers Was Abducted Same Day He Arrived Ogbomoso From His Base In US – Friend Claims

The proprietor of Tana Suites, Olugbenga Owolabi, who was killed by kidnappers in Ogbomoso had reportedly arrived the community from the US same day he was abducted.


A friend of the deceased, Olukayode Olawepo, who disclosed this said the father of four and his family are based in Maryland, U.S.



Owolabi and and his worker, Rachael Opadele, a final year student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, were kidnapped last week in Abaa, a community close to the school and killed on Tuesday after N5m ransom payment.


A motorcycle operator, who carried a family member with the ransom to the designated spot in the bush along Ogbomoso-Ilorin Expressway, was also killed while the passenger sustained injuries.
