Sokoto Pilgrims Pray For President Muhammadu Buhari In Mecca

Pilgrims from Sokoto State now in Saudi Arabia for the annual hajj have held special prayers for the healing of President Muhammadu Buhari and the peaceful coexistence of the country.

The prayer session took place at the Grand Mosque in Mecca and was attended by pilgrims from other states who expressed plea­sure at the efforts of the Sokoto delegation.

In a statement issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs to the Governor, Malam Imam Imam, he said: “Our pilgrims joined other well-wishers during a special prayer session for the health of the Presi­dent, stability of their state as well as peaceful coexistence of the country.”

Imam added that the prayers were led by Islamic scholars who expressed happiness at the re­turn of Buhari from his medical vacation in the United Kingdom (UK).

“The pilgrims expressed de­light at the safe return of the Pres­ident. They also prayed to God to give him and his lieutenants the strength the Execute arm of gov­ernment their mandates for the development of the nation.
