Shehu Sani Reacts To Buhari’s Two Weeks Ultimatum To Education Minister To Resolve ASUU Strike

Senator Shehu Sani has faulted the two weeks ultimatum President Buhari handed down to the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, to resolve the over 5-months ASUU strike.

 

On Tuesday, July 19, President Buhari had a meeting with some stakeholders in Abuja where he handed the directive to the Minister to resolve the issues that led to the strike.

Reacting to this development, Senator Shehu opined that the President should direct the Minister of Finance to release funds needed to address the demands of the striking lecturers and not hand down an ultimatum to the Education minister.

 

”The President don’t need to give the Education Minister two weeks to resolve the ASUU issues.All the president need to do is to direct the finance minister to release the funds needed to address the issues.”he tweeted
