The goal of AMFEST EXPO is to organise the African creative industry, build a bridge between her practitioners and the global business ecosystems, to foster growth in culture and business exchange among all stakeholders. Maybe one day, we will see African delicacies in the menu books of 5star restaurants around the world to cater for a growing African consumers in those areas. Maybe we will have an African Musician closing Coachella and Glastonbury Festivals. Maybe soon we will have African creative directors in Valentino, Oscar de Larenta etc. Maybe we will have Paramount pictures distributing African produced films soon. We hope to start what consummates into such relationships in the next 5 years.
Introducing Oluyomi Ojo, one of AMFEST 2018 Keynote Speakers
Oluyomi Ojo, Co-Founder of Printivo. Printivo is a DIY (do it yourself) web-to-print-to-doorstep platform. This startup is trying to redefine the digital printing business by offering consumers a radically easy solution for meeting their printing requirements.
Oluyomi has always been an entrepreneur. Specifically, he has always been involved in the printing industry. He grew up learning from his dad who was a printing broker and ran a print business as a side hustle while in college. He studied Applied Mathematics at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH).
Yomi is on a quest to making printing “suck less” and he’s been doing just that!
In 2007, Yomi founded Urbanbaze Designs, “a Lagos based brand communication agency working with clients in various sectors from start-ups to multinationals, delivering marketing communication services that grab audiences, build brands, and ultimately achieve results.”
Between 2010 and 2013, Yomi bagged 5 professional certificates to boost his career:
