Monarchs Endorse Ahmed For Kwara South Senatorial Seat
The Traditional Council of Ifelodun Local Government of Kwara State has endorsed Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed for the Kwara South senatorial seat.
The Elese of Igbaja, Oba Amodu Babalola Awuni, Arepo II, urged monarchs in the council to support Ahmed’s senatorial bid.
Oba Amodu, who described the governor as a worthy son of Ifelodun, said: “We supported you to become the governor about eight years ago and you have not failed us. We will support you once again in your Senatorial bid to represent Kwara South.”
The monarch hailed Ahmed for his achievements in the council despite financial challenges.
The Elesa of Oke-Ode, Oba Abdulkadir Adelodun, said the traditional council is united in support of the governor’s aspiration.
“We thank you for your support to the traditional council, and we urge our people to remain united and support you in your senatorial ambition, and by the grace of God, you will succeed,” the monarch said.
The Olupako of Share, Oba Abdul Garba said the town is behind Ahmed and would support to him to succeed.
According to him, the town benefited from Ahmed’s administration, and assured the governor that his kinsmen will continue to stand by him.
Ahmed told the monarchs that his decision to seek senatorial seat was to attract further development to the district.
