Man Shot Dead While Preventing Kidnappers from Whisking His Wife Away in Abuja

Musa Abari was shot dead when suspected kidnappers raided his home in Kasada village, Kuje area council, Federal Capital Territory FCT, and seized his wife, Hulaira, and five others.


According to reports, attackers armed with AK-47 rifles invaded the village in large numbers around 11.30 p.m. on Monday, April 17 and began shooting sporadically. Residents claim the gunmen pushed their way into the residences.


The deceased man was said to have been trying to prevent the gunmen from kidnapping his wife when he was shot in the chest which led to his death.


The gunmen, after abducting the woman, proceeded to neighbouring houses, where they whisked away five other victims, before making their way back into the bush.


The FCT police command is yet to comment on this recent development.
