“Kanu Won’t Go On Exile Over Re-Arrest Threat” – IPOB

The Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) has turned down media reports that its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, had remained in isolation following moves by the Federal Government to arrest and have him re-detained.

According to the pro- Biafra group, Kanu is not a coward and does not capitulate to dangers. IPOB in an announcement issued yesterday by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, depicted the report as “a glaring lie, bizarre and simple purposeful publicity supported by the foes to deceive guileless personalities.”

IPOB said that “Kanu the most powerful black man today is never on the run and can never go into exile because of threat of being re- arrested”.
“This wicked lie and malicious fabrication is the work of the enemies of Biafra, who enjoy their perfect slave status and will remain servants to the North all their lives”, the statement said.
Continuing, the group stated that, “these individuals have allowed themselves to be used to advance certain mission against Biafraland.
“It is unfortunate that these unconscionable people have abandoned news reporting for rumour mongering, outright fabrication, misinformation and peddling of falsehood
“These unscrupulous individuals are spreading false information in the hope of salvaging the corrupt British created contraption called Nigeria so they can continue to trade in the misery of the masses for their personal enrichment.
“They are hoping that false, demoralising information against our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will discourage millions of his followers worldwide into abandoning Biafra for one Nigeria. How very mistaken they are.”
IPOB said that no amount of blackmail or intimidation could make it give up the agitation for Biafra restoration, maintaining that the struggle has gone beyond Kanu.
“IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu cannot be intimidated by anybody or group no matter how highly placed they think of themselves. Our mission is to restore Biafra and nothing under the sun can stop us.
“IPOB and her leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, including all lovers of freedom all over the world remain resolute and resilient towards the restoration of Biafra as a free nation under God within the shortest possible time.
“Our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has made it abundantly clear to all and sundry that he is not going on exile as a result of these childish threats from Hausa Fulani dominated Nigeria government,” he said.
