IGP Is An ‘Enemy Of Democracy’ – Senate
The Senate has declared the Inspector General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Kpotum Idris, an enemy of democracy not fit to hold any public office either within or outside Nigeria.
Rising from a 53-minute closed-door session called by members to decide on the refusal of the police chief to appear before them, the Senate in a two-point resolution said the development posed a grave danger to democracy and should not be condoned.
Reading the resolution, Senate President Bukola Saraki stated that Nigerians should note the Senate declaration and await further actions.
