“How can you recieve a gift from Lord and hand it over to the devil?” – Mike Bamiloye questions secular singers

Clergyman and movie producer, Mike Bamiloye has taken to his social media page to shake a table that has many Nigerian artistes on it.

Mike Bamiloye questioned the reason entertainers, whose music talents were nurtured and groomed by a church opted to leave the church to sing for the ‘clubs and the world’. The clergyman then pleaded with such entertainers to return to the source.

His post reads ;

All of you Gifted and Talented in Music, Acting, Instruments, Whom the lord raised up from Inside the church to be
useful for him, But have abandoned the lord who raised you and have begun to sing for the clubs and the world.

I plead with you to come back to your source. “How can you recieve a gift from Lord and hand it over to the devil”

Mike Bamiloye

  1. While this is a valid question, there is a need to:
    1) Define the term “world” as a place wherein the light of the talent must shine and not within the walls of a building.
    2) Interrogate the way the church values and pay the bills of these talents enough to take their eyes off the world’s allure. Is it just a reward of “God bless you,” while church proprietors are seen adorning this same “world’s” private jets and other beautiful worldly things?
