Gunmen Attack Ex-Bayelsa Governor Dickson’s Residence; Kill Policeman

Unknown gunmen have shot dead a police officer guarding the home of former governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson, at Toru-orua community in Sagbama Local Government Area of the state.


It was gathered that the bandits invaded Dickson’s compound through the Forcados River in the early hours of Thursday, November 19.


The slain officer, who is yet to be identified was said to have died on the spot after he was shot.


A statement from Dickson’s spokesperson, Fidelis Soriwei, confirmed the attack and death of the policeman during the attack.


Asinim Butswat, spokesperson for the police in the state said a statement about the incident would be put out later.
