Lawyers representing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the last general elections, Atiku Abubakar, were conspicuously absent a hearing called by the Supreme Court to proffer reasons for the dismissal of their appeal, challenging the outcome of the February 23 presidential election.

No member of Atiku’s legal team including the 20 Senior Advocates and over 30 junior lawyers were present when the court called on the appellants’ lawyers to announce their appearances at the commencement of the Friday’s proceedings.

Those at the forum include the legal team of President Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
