Some delegates at the All Progressives Congress Convention engaged in a free-for-all at the party’s national convention on Saturday.
Imo State delegates, loyal to Governor Rochas Okorocha, exchanged blows with loyalists of the Deputy Governor, Eze Madumere.
The two groups fought over who should occupy the seats reserved for Imo State delegates
Trouble began when Okorocha arrived at the stand reserved for Imo delegates and insisted that supporters of Madumere must vacate the seats.
Some security guards descended on members of the deputy governor’s group. The Chairman of the anti-Okorocha faction, Hillary Eke, and other members of the group were forcefully thrown out of the seats.
