Alexandre Lacazette’s ‘Furious Exchange’ With Unai Emery Highlights Arsenal’s Problems

Alexandre Lacazette engaged in an angry exchange with Unai Emery during Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Southampton, according to reports.

The argument highlights perfectly the problems at Arsenal at the moment, amid increasing claims the players have lost faith in their boss and are unclear of the direction he is taking them in.

The Gunners twice came from behind this weekend against the relegation-threatened Saints at the Emirates, with Lacazette having to bail his side out.

Southampton took an early lead through Danny Ings before Lacazette netted an equaliser on 18 minutes. James Ward-Prowse later restored the Saints’ advantage with a rebound from a missed penalty, before Lacazette again brought Arsenal level – this time with the game’s final kick.

The Frenchman showed just how important he is to the Gunners.

But he also showed that he’s not entirely happy at the club at the moment amid the current turmoil, and his reported angry exchange with Emery highlights this.

According to football. London, France international Lacazette rowed with his manager early in the second half of Saturday’s draw with Southampton.

The incident occurred during a pause in play, while a Saints player received treatment for an injury.

It is the latest in a number of on-pitch exchanges between Emery and his Arsenal players after left-back Kieran Tierney was reportedly seen telling his boss to “calm down” earlier in the season.

The incident also comes amid a reluctance from Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to pen new deals at Arsenal while Emery remains in charge.

Lacazette wants Champions League football, and Arsenal are not on track to qualify for Europe’s premier competition this season.
